I would take Lauren to see Dr. Dozier or M. Kittle, PMHNP-BC at CHKD. They have seen and treated this type of sx before.

Lauren and her family should seek natural health care instead of giving her drugs that will cause other physical problems. Starting with cranio-sacral therapy and progressing from there.

The SAME EXACT thing happened to my son when he was 11 years old after a strep infection. He developed a cough, doctor's could not find out why he was coughing. He coughed every few seconds for 6 months. All day, everyday...except at night.

Diagnosis- Tourettes brought on by infection. Thankfully, he stopped one day, out of the blue. We still cringe when he coughs so does he...He was tested for everything under the sun. It will STOP...it takes time. Just help her to relax and don't make a big deal out of it. There really is nothing they can do for it.
Tell me when this thread is updated!
