The lead remnants are from 50 years ago! Aren't we exposed to more lead in the graffiti paint that blankets our city from the undesirable citizens of our cities? We are doing more damage to our community having this park closed such as displacing a senior citizens group, closing down all sports, picnics, outdoor fun and more because one man on his morning walk found an old bullet and called the City to threaten a lawsuit. STOP spending our tax dollars on so called experts that test for lead and give us back our park!!!!!!!!!!

You're right. We should all eat lead just to make you happy. So tell us, what interest is it of your's, anyway? Do you own some land there? Want a supermarket built? Tell us your concern. We're intersted. When our children are poisoned, we want to know why.

Well, it looks like someone needs to do their homework. Los Angeles is a park-starved city surrounded by Superfund sites. How do you solve the problem ? Lead and PAHs and Arsenic exist in the Chatsworth Park Creek that dogs or horses refuse to drink from for a very good reason: they are not clueless like many a human. Clay pigeon debris and Lead Shot is scattered throughout the park including lead dust inside the preschool. Maybe a bit of homework is needed to find out why these contaminants are dangerous. Can you trust a two-year-old toddler picking up clay pigeons and chewing on them during a family picnic or a four-year-old from licking lead dust from their fingers ? Time to smarten up and clean up these toxic places. Maybe you want to threaten the City with a lawsuit for making decisions based upon greed and allowing enough parks within walking distance of our kids and teens ? That would be a more productive use of your time in my view instead of leaving the problem for the next generation to get sick and die from.
