Help is on the horizon for residents in the Clover Fork area. After a study was completed of the entire length of KY 38 in Harlan County, Sherri Chappell, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Acting Chief District 11 Engineer, said the report has been submitted to the transportation cabinet's central office.
State Rep. Rick Nelson says a meeting is being planned with state and local officials to "come up with a plan." "We had the Chief Engineer Sherry Chappell come up a few weeks ago - back when the first slides came, and she promised, and did, sit down and talk with some of the local officials about the slide," said Nelson.
