CHANNAHON – The village board Monday approved awarding the Blackberry Lane reconstruction project to PT Ferro, the lowest bidder for the project.

Four people have been arrested in connection with Tuesday's shooting of a man and woman in Channahon.

At approximately 6:30 yesterday morning, our police department was dispatched to the 25000 block of Blackberry Lane for a reported home invasion with at least two people being shot.

Police Tuesday evening were questioning a person of interest regarding the early morning shooting of a man and a woman in a basement-level apartment.

"Family Fun Quest", a free, family program for individuals at least six years of age, will be Saturday, July 11, at 2 p.m. at Four Rivers Environmental Education Center in Channahon.

Authorities are investigating a double shooting in an apartment building in southwest suburban Channahon Tuesday morning.
