Great. More sprawl.
More wonderful news from out of state developers and the people who want to add to our infrastructure burdens only to line their own pockets with someone else's gold.

peanutbrittle: Why do you care? Your location is in York, PA.
I look at the housing situation as--"More people to tax" "More money for the gov." As long as they are developing it in the best way possible. The best way possible is, the lots have to have trees on it, and the gov has to convince the developers to upgrade the roads around the developments

I'm curious to know at what point does Bear Valley plan on adding them as new customers? How can they possibly serve new customers when their present customers have been on water restriction for years with no end in sight? This is absurd!!
It was also quite interesting to read that Mr. John is discussing this issue. Has Bear Valley all of a sudden become intellegent?

"They" can develope all they want, but who is buying these homes...especially with the economy the way it is? If anyone is able to get a loan and buy one of these overly price "factory" homes, they will be yet another foreclosure. Of course, unless they make a good salary, but what jobs around here pay that kind of money? There defintely aren't alot of jobs around here that can do that.

People say growth is good - I say good for Who! Keep building up the farm lands - then wonder why everything is getting so expensive. If we have no farm lands for crops and cattle then we'll be importing All our food. Whether these new houses connect to Bear Valley or Drill wells - The water is gonna go dry either place if we keep building houses on top of each other. YOu can only get so much water from the ground, Whether your a home owner drilling hundreds of feet for water or whether your a Water municipality trying to produce water, either way, IT's coming from the ground. Stop the building in Hamilton township!!!

Hamilton neighbor

Not to suggest that the so called Hamilton Township Supervisors are getting something out of this deal, but 4000 new neighbors sounds like a lot. I’m sure the Supervisors have a plan to improve Crottlestown Road, Sollenberger Road or even Brechbill and Edeville with 4000+ new cars, school buses, and dump trucks. Right. So my new neighbors at Whiskey Run Vista would access U.S. 30 from Crottlestown Road, all those folks are going to drive on that road? Right. I guess the Supervisors have some road improvements for it? Majestic Ridge Estates would use Sollenberger Road? I look forward to wait along with my new neighbors at U.S. 30 and Sollenberger so only three cars can go during a green light. And I’m sure they have a good idea on what to do with all those new students, but that would be Chambersburg problem. Bear Valley to get access to 870 wells! Great! Outstanding! I finally get to water my grass for the first time in three or is it four years, sorry I can’t remember when the water restrictions started. And even more residential developments are anticipated in the immediate area, double outstanding! All of this over 20 years, Right!! So it’s clear, I live across from Majestic Ridge, I drive up and down Sollenberger, have children that attend Chambersburg area schools and pay $100 more each year for taxes. Can’t wait to have new neighbors to say hello to.

If I was a Hamilton Twp supervisor, I would try to widen Crottlestown road, put a red light at the Crottlestown-US30 intersection. I would also try to create a road from Crottlestown to US 30 and road the road to rt 995, so basically extending 995

Let me tell you something about the hamilton township supervisors. About five years ago I was in bad way and wanted to sell my extra lot. I went and talked to the supervisors about it and they told me due to zoning the lot could not be built on. So to make along story short I lost my house and it was bought by someone who had the money to pay off the supervisors subdivided and now theres a house on the very same lot that I was told could not be built on. It's nothing but a money game
