We live in New Harmony, Utah. "Controlled burns" are great theory, but when the fire is three miles away and the pall of smoke and ash is choking, and has been for over a week now, the theory wears thin. Just now I am finally hearing the roar of fire fighting helicopters, and I am hoping the fireline around New Harmony holds. We were evacuated once several years ago, and I don't relish that. Our grandson left early from a visit because of asthma, and my husband and I, in our eighties, are having a hard time sticking it out. May tomorrow be better.
