You are so right. It does mean that Richlands will have to start having traffic control there in the mornings and afternoons when school is in session. Also when football season starts.

I really don't think it has too much to do with whether the school is in Cedar Bluff or Richlands Corporate limits. It has to do with tax revenue from the business tax.

I really think Richlands would like to come on through Cedar Bluff, not that they care that much about annexing Cedar Bluff, their long range goal is to get Claypool Hill into the Richlands Corporate limits. I really cannot see either of those things ever happening. Both Cedar Bluff and Richlands citizens would pitch a BIG fit.

I meant to say that Cedar Bluff and Claypool Hill citizens would pitch a fit. I don't know how the citizens of Richlands would feel about it.

Richlands town is itching to gobble up Cedar Bluff to get to Claypool Hill, Lowes, and Walmart. If they need the money that bad they should get rid of 4 of their police officers. They still would have around 5 to 9 depending on when they need to pull over a speeder or arrest the same drug dealer that they arrest every 2 months
not that easy

I am not sure that richlands can just take over part of cedar bluff. It looks like it would have to be a mutual decision or some sort of agreement with the two areas.

Cedar Bluff was informed of the meeting, as was the public. CB town council sent a stack of papers to represent them, they've refused to even be in the room with richlands town council before, at a board of supervisors meeting.

AND you can remove the soon from the title, the board decided to rule in favor of Richlands

I agree but the CB mayor would not agree to anything so you have him to blame and no one else

Between the incompetence of the supervisors and the school board that screws up everything they touch in Richlands, I would rather have Honaker town extend their boundaries and maybe rename it Honaker Bluff.

The definition of Homeland Security is making sure that we are always free to bear arms.

And for communities always having their hand out for the Homeland Security money. I wonder why the people who are always for this stuff are also the people who complain when their taxes go up.

Or better yet they could show an interest in the town they already have and try to do something, anything about bringing in new business instead of becoming more of a ghost town.
