Hillside Assembly of God Church is announcing their 17th Annual Gillett Community Thanksgiving Dinner consisting of turkey and ham with all the trimmings on Wednesday, November 25th, from 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. This dinner is offered to anyone who would enjoy the feeling of being a part of a large family.

Cecil man dies prior to post office crash
A 69-year-old Cecil man died today at the scene of a one-car crash into the Cecil Post Office, according to the Shawano County Sheriff's Department.
Philip W. Schneidewend, age 86 of Gillett, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife, Irene, at his side on Tuesday, July 28, 2009.
Visiting family in Wisconsin last week, we several times drove though the Village of Bonduel .
