8 Wonders of Kansas Customs contest announced
Customs are practices, the distinctive things that people do. In the latest contest to be announced by the Kansas Sampler Foundation, they're also described as quirky things; collections; and objects that define an event, area or tradition.
"Our View from Here," an exhibition of work from the North Central Kansas Art Association and curated by Jan Schoen, president of the association, will open with an artists' reception 2 to 4 p.m. today at Deines Cultural Center, 820 N. Main, Russell.
