Preliminary nights of competition for the Miss Louisiana Pageant will be at 7:30 p.m. June 18 and June 19.

As Maundy Thursday night gave way to Good Friday morning, solid rock north Louisiana Methodists Billie and Harold McCarthy offered up prayers as bad weather headed toward Bienville Parish.
