There's been so much going on in Carson City Hall in the last 15 years or so that it's even disturbing to read about it and now that fiasco over at Scottsdale Townhouses is heating up. It paints a very undesirable picture of what kind of people reside there. I left the area in the late 70's because I saw even older troubles starting to escalate.

"He's given his life to Christ." Wow. Somehow that in itself is not redeeming. Once a crook, always a crook. How dare he try to align himself with God. What a bunch of crap. "thou shall not steal" Remember that one?

It is amazing how many people 'find god' while in jail ! Im a little sick of those who wear their religion on there sleave.

THey should make sure he doesn't take a foot in Carson we're a strong community who takes pride in. If the City would take a vote on who would live here he would be on top of the list he should be a shame of his self we are hard working citizens. They shouldn't even let him out of all if it was my choose look at all the people who lost there jobs because of is ignorance.
He is no better then the next person, why would someone risk there job over somehthing little it sounds like he's a greedy person. We the City of Carson should not let him in our community as long as we live here he should be excuted from us.

What makes me sick is that local and state Democratic politician created the welfare state in the intercity and the destitute conditions in the state and intercities and the horrible high tax atmosphere, all things which harm the middle and lower class, not helping either division, yet the voters in these areas continue to vote these Democrats in. Just watch, this slime ball will end up running for office again somewhere and may win again because of the brain dead Democrat voters who have half a brain, no understanding of economics, and no values to continue to vote in Democrats. The truth really hurts.

All you people making negative comments about our wonderful Carson community pls refrain. Our city is doing just fine now that the corruption has been removed and put in check. Jim Dear is an honest guy like his brother Don Dear of Gardena. We love our "people" and our community. We are the most diverse place in the south bay and we all get along ( for the most part )So BACK OFF!

Can the Daily Breeze find anyone else to represent Carson other than Gladyce Wall? She doesn't live in the city of Carson, she lives in a Los Angeles County strip area and everytime we hear a quote it's from her. Also, I would assume that Mr. Sweeney can never hold public office again after his conviction. This is the problem with the world today, many people support people who do bad things and this is why there is so much crime in our country.

You're a joke. Today we have an honest Mayor and City Council. We bicker like every other city in the South Bay and America look at Lomita, Torrance, RPV, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach and others. That is politics.

My problem is that Sweeney is a crook who violated public trust. I remember Marion Barry and the people re-elected him to the Washington City Council. Gladyce Wall is an old lady who is nuts. She should just shut up. By the way Mayor Dear has just as much right in a church of God as anyone else. I sure hope Darryl stays out of politics. He and two other past mayors have been convicted of Federal crimes. Mitoma for Income Tax Fraud and he says he wants to be Carson's Treasurer, What a joke. Keep the crooks out.

Sweeny needs to be left in jail. As a Carson resident I am sick of these guys coming in and ripping us off.(Fahardo and Sweeny) they do not deserve to hold any political office at all. How funny, Sweeny says he won't run for office again because his wife wont let him, the residents of Carson wouldn't want him. What a joke, it wouldn't matter if his wife let him or not I would NEVER want anyone like that to represent our city ever again. LOSER!!
