Man Shot By Border Patrol Agent

That is a gross injustice. Sometimes the bp will harrass us citizens, just cause they want to intimidate mexican americans. they will follow to close,right behind you, never putting the lights on. so you don't know what they want. the man didn't hit him, watch this bp he will probably shoot someone else. I respect the bp that respect the us citizens, and don't harass just because our skin is too dRK OR WE LOOK TO MEXICAN. i THANK JESUS CHRIST THAT HIS FAMILY WAS NOT HURT.

Hello wasnt this guy born and raised in Carrizo his whole life and his family raised there, so hello that makes him a US Citizen just because he is hispanic and a bit more mexican looking does not mean he is an illegal, people before making assumptions about a person and especially when you are making it public make sure your information accuarate, and no I am not defending anyone because they are two sides to each story, when he goes to trial then justice can provail.

justice only prevails if you have thousands of dallors to defend yourself from all the frabricated allegations that they are ready to throw your way.i can bet you if his skin was a differant color this would have happen .we need to stand together and show this people that they need to treat all americans equally.

Well okay if he is a citizen then he should know better then to run from the law..Why run if you don't have anything to hide?? Heard he had warrants and that's why he ran..But it looks like he fought the law and the law won.. Hope he gets better soon.

If anyone i mean anyone tries to run over any type of legit law enforcement officer god help you! HE TRIED and regardless of skin color 9 times out of 10 your are going to get a bullet in the as! if you are lucky enough to survive the beat down!

Clearly, none of you remember (or care to know) that a similar incident happened last year where a man(smuggler) who decided to flee from the Border Patrol also decided to run over and kill Agent Louis Aguilar. He was not caught until almost a year later.
Again, in Febuary of this year, in Santa Teresa, NM a drug smuggler decided to run down an Agent (but only ran over his foot) and took a few bullets for it.
I'm sorry, but given the recent history of drivers running over Border Patrol Agents, I don't see how anyone is surprised that Agents aren't messing around. Hell, my buddy who's an Agent almost got run over the other day by a pissed off US Citizen who didn't think BP has the authority to detain him when a lady came to us saying the driver was trying to abduct her. We were about two seconds from drawing our weapons on him. Unfortunately, he got away because we didn't have a vehicle.
Here's an idea: If you don't want to get shot, try not to run over a Border Patrol Agent. Perhaps you'd prefer if the headline read, "Man kills Border Patrol Agent, escapes" which would be all too reminiscent of last year's case of Louis Aguilar.

First of all, the BP have run up behind me and my husband at different times and we are about as blond and white skinned as snow. They do it to anyone. They are not profiling because of darkness of skin when they do that. Also, this guy who got shot is not a good person. I know for a fact that he abuses his girlfriend and has a history of violence. He got cocky with the wrong person this time.

The Border Patrol was doing his job plain and simple!!!! What did you prefer for him to do stand there and get killed??? Grow up people no matter what way you put it he had all the right to shoot him!!!

first of you were not there , law officers have been known to tell lies as seen on videos shown on tv . so shut your <YUP> up. i hope there is a way that can be proven what really happen , then i'll beleive what the b.p. claims .

First of all if you have any common sense if you know someone is a convicted piece of sh!t and gets shot by law enforcement then cries foul then you are one to!

If the guy tried to run over the BP, or drive his vehicle towards the BP in a manner where the BP's life was in danger, then I agree to shoot at the on coming "VEHICLE."(radiator) if the radiator is blown so is the vehicle, if not try the tires. I know that it's hard to think when theres a truck or car barreling towrds you in excess speeds, but that's what you train for, right? SHOOT THE VEHICLE not into it as they might have innocent lives riding inside!

yes i agree with you. that run-away guy didn't think about any one but his ass. he for got about his passenger(s).all he had to do was co-operate.
