On Saturday, November 3rd, at 9:45 p.m. the Henderson County Sheriff's Office received a call of residential burglary in Carman.

"In Persia in the Carmanian district, where the tide is felt, there are trees of fair size like the andrachne in shape and in leaves; and they bear much fruit like in colour to almonds on the outside, but the inside is coiled up as though the kernels were all united.

Residents of Carman will be meeting with postal representatives at the Carman Community Center on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the proposed closing of the Carman Post Office.

Sixty-five interested community residents met at the Raritan Opera House on Thursday, October 6th to hear what representatives from the post office system had to say about the closing of the Raritan Post Office.
