Kaitlyn Frederick, 16, a junior at Carlsbad High School, is working on a service project with the Carlsbad Municipal Schools called Books R.O.C.K. . The program is entirely student-initiated and designed to give underprivileged children in Carlsbad a chance to have and read their own books.
