Cops: L.I. Woman Took Cash from Purses in Church

A Long Island woman has been arrested for stealing from people in a church. Patricia Adams, 46, of Westbury , was seen by an usher Sunday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Carle Place leaning over a pew and taking cash from the purse of a parishioner who was on the kneeler, police said.
