The new side walks are nice! Nice and wide - to bad there are NO people walking on them! All we need is PEOPLE to use them! Almost No stores to speak of - Where is the Nice Hotel? The City torn down 18 Buildings for the YMCA and hotel projects - and the Mayor wants to know why our wage tax income and property Estate taxes is down! The School District is also suffering from the down town mess! more loss of taxes!! KOZ -KOZ -KOZ -- where are the JOBS!!!!!!!!!! from the KOZ ?

Relax! There were 4 houses taken down for new 10 million dollar YMCA. Real Estate Transfer tax monies,an indicator of property transactions, has increased the past several years, despite the down turn in the economy. There are continued revitilization and positive growth signs for the Pioneer city, including recent news that the State is going to improve the old D&H railroad line to carbondale so carbondale can become a regional distribution center for materials utilized by the natural gas industry.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Taurus

Keep calm! Your emotions are becoming increasingly heightened and intense today. As a result, you're likely to take things much more seriously than usual. That's wonderful if you're involved in a hot and heavy encounter with Mr or Ms Right, but it won't be such good news if you go overboard about silly trifles. If you're doing some last-minute shopping you'll want to be as extravagant as your budget allows. Or is it a case of Budget...? What budget?
