The Yolo Land Trust's signature event, "A Day in the Country," will be held at Taber Ranch Vineyard and Event Center.

The Yolo Basin Foundation is hosting "A Day in the Capay," a tour of one of Yolo County's best-kept secrets - the Capay Valley - on Sunday, June 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The day will begin with stops at two organic farms, Capay Organics and Grumpy Goats Farm, where the owners will discuss farming and business in the valley.

The Tehama-Glenn Unit of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and the Tehama County Fire Department wants to remind everyone that burn permits will be required starting May 1, in the unincorporated areas of Tehama County, except in the Capay Fire District.
