Municipal issues draw residents to polls in New Madrid County
New Madrid County residents will decide who will lead their communities and their school districts when they go to the polls on April 7. Neither candidate is opposed for office in Canalou with Phillip Wilson seeking election as Ward 1 alderman and in Ward 2, Gary Deen is on the ballot for alderman.
Suspicious fire in small New Madrid County town
Third suspicious blaze in the last month and a half. Police Chief Blake Cindle tells Heartland News the fire broke out around 2:30a.m. Sunday morning in the small New Madrid County town.
