Police think 2 white men and 1 black man in their late teens or early 20's may be connected to a few area crimes.

Investigators say a man and a teenage boy drowned in a local lake trying to help each other.

The Mecosta County sheriff's department said two Detroit-area residents drowned after one fell into a lake and the second attempted a rescue.

Two men faced 31 felony charges Friday in Mecosta County. 17 year-old Thomas Knofsky and 36 year-old Jonathan Good join three fellow gang members charged for a month-long series of burglaries and assaults. via WWUP-TV Cadillac

On Wednesday Alec Cove, Cody Bodo and Alexa Zimmerman, all 17 years old, were charged in the robbery and shooting at a Mecosta County house. via WTOM-TV Traverse City
