A spell of unseasonably high temperatures in San Diego County will conclude today before a cooling trend sets in for the rest of the week, meteorologists said.

The showers that blew ashore Monday and Tuesday were certainly welcome. But they weren't steady or heavy enough to have a significant impact on growing drought conditions across San Diego County, where there's concern about an early start to wildfire season.
