Debbie and Mike Africa, mother and son, were reunited Saturday, June 16, when she was released after 40 years in prison, one of nine members of the Move family sentenced to 30-100 years for the murder of Officer James Ramp, killed by friendly fire - by his police comrades - during a police siege of Move's home but blamed on Move without any evidence that any of them were guilty of anything. Philadelphia - In the early morning of June 16, after nearly 40 years of unjust imprisonment by the state of Pennsylvania, political prisoner and MOVE 9 member Debbie Sims Africa was granted parole and released from the State Correctional Institution-Cambridge Springs.
