These are the same reasons many people are willing to give Obama a shot at the presidency. People are hurting all across the board and they want things to change. No body wants to live through a depression like many Baby Boomers' parents did. Thinking voters want elected officials with new ideas that benefit the public at large not just the few.

The blaze spread, destroying black-owned businesses as an all-white fire department refused to douse the flames.
So, Ms. Wyatt, the destruction of the black-owned businesses was due to blatant racism on the part of the "all-white fire department", right?

But according to the book Civil War on Race Street by Peter Levy:
It would be 45 minutes before firefighters were notified of the school fire because the alarms didn't sound at 1 a.m. But it would be two hours before firefighters and young black residents of the neighborhood were allowed in to put out the fire. During those two hours, Second Ward residents were trying to save the school and nearby buildings, Levy said.
Cambridge Police Chief Brice Kinnanmon wouldn't allow firefighters in because he believed reports of snipers on the roofs of Second Ward buildings who would shoot at emergency personnel.

Is it mandatory over there at @ss-Socialist Press that every "news story" include a minimum level of propaganda?
