'Between the Lines'
This past weekend Best Friend and I made our annual trek to North Dakota to visit son Jeff at Devils Lake. We also stopped to spend the night with son Jason at Frazee on the way.
When we left Thursday morning it rained continuously all day and night. I told Best Friend on the way "I think we might drive out of this" but after one slight break I concluded that we probably wouldn't drive out of it, at least not on Thursday. The next morning we loaded our bags back into the car (in the rain) and continued our trek north. As we approached Moorhead the rain tapered off then started again. By the time we left Fargo the rain had nearly stopped and we even spotted a few rays of sunshine between Fargo and Grand Forks. Again I told Best Friend I thought we would surely drive out of it. This time I was right, about 40 miles west of Grand Forks we finally did drive out of it. Read more
