Local educators among those honored in Kane annual awards
Anette Bliss said she was thrilled when she was announced as the winner of the Kane County Educator of the Year award.
Last summer, their corn and bean crops were shriveled - though not as badly as in some parts of Illinois and the Midwest - by one of the worst spring and summer droughts in history.
