Western Kansas Teen Dies In Accident
A Western Kansas teenager died in a one vehicle accident early today. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Amber Schmitt, 17, of Burdett died in the crash on US-283 in Hodgeman County at 12:30 a.m. Troopers said the pickup truck Schmitt was driving left the southbound lanes of the highway and rolled in the ditch.
