* A Cypress Drive resident on Friday reported that someone entered her home through an unlocked door overnight and stole her black pocketbook off the kitchen counter. * Car burglaries and thefts were reported on Friday on Brady Road, Windjammer Drive and Lighthouse Circle. All vehicles were unlocked. Taken were 38 Dingmans Ferry Bridge tickets, a 50-cent roll of pennies and $50 in cash. * Two 17-year-old township boys were charged with smoking marijuana in a vehicle at the Stanlick School on Friday. They were released to their parents. * Richard Miscik Jr., 18, of Randolph was detained at the scene of a motor vehicle stop Wednesday on a warrant from Hamburg, and was released after posting $89 bail. * Tara Fletcher, 20, of Sparta was charged Feb. 25 with driving while intoxicated, possession of heroin and a hypodermic needle, and several motor vehicle violations after police responded to a report of a disabled motor vehicle on Route 15 north near the Sparta border. A Sparta police officer arrived at the scene first and found several packages of heroin in the vehicle, police said. Further investigation revealed that Fletcher was under the influence of heroin, police said. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment. * Wyckoff resident Michael Tucker, 44, was arrested Feb. 24 on a Jefferson warrant and lodged in the Morris County jail for being unable to post bail. * A vehicle was seen driving across the snow-covered ball field off Yacht Club Drive on Feb. 24. Police found the car and issued a summons to the driver, a 17-year-old Lake Forest boy, police said. * The American Legion on Legion Road on Feb. 23 reported that someone removed approximately $700 in cash from the cash register and safe. * Thomas Nickens, 21, of Budd Lake was pulled over on Route 46 for an expired inspection sticker Sunday and then was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to inspect and failure to make repairs. He was released pending a municipal court hearing. * Gisela Mynatt, 46, of Flanders was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and failure to maintain a lane after police spotted her swerving on Route 206 Sunday. She was released pending a court hearing. * A trailer parked on Fairview Place was reportedly stolen between 6 p.m. Thursday and 4 a.m. Friday. The 4-year-old trailer was loaded with tools and the total value was estimated at $7,500. * A township woman who struck two vehicles parked in driveways on Village Road on Thursday night was charged with driving while intoxicated, police said. Police responded to the area at 7:48 p.m. on a report of multiple motor vehicle accidents, and found Patricia A. Hopping, 41, of Pompton Plains, had struck both with her 1998 Dodge Wagon, police said. Hopping was traveling down Village Road when she allegedly struck a 2001 Toyota Camry parked in a driveway. Police said she continued down the road, failed to negotiate a right turn and drove onto a front lawn across from the intersection of Village and Marvin roads. The Dodge then continued back across the roadway and struck a 2002 Chevrolet parked in a driveway, police said. Hopping also was charged with failure to report an accident, leaving the scene of an accident and careless driving. She was released pending a municipal court appearance. * Martin F. Starr, 37, of Paterson was arrested on warrants from four towns in Passaic and Bergen counties on Thursday afternoon. Police discovered Starr had more than $3,000 in warrants from Clifton, Passaic, Paterson and Teaneck, after conducting a random license plate check on his 2000 Ford at 2:43 p.m., police said. Starr was turned over to Clifton Police in default of $1,040 bail. * Borough resident James N. Capko, 38, was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving after he was stopped for driving erratically during a snow storm. He was later released. * Martine Ayers, 20, of Long Valley was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to keep right and use of a controlled substance after a traffic stop Feb. 27 on Schooley's Mountain Road, Ayers was released pending a court hearing. via Daily Record
