* Elizabeth M. Kuritz, 45, of Chester, was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated after a three-car accident on West Main Street at 12:10 p.m. Kuritz was also charged with reckless driving, talking on a cell phone without a hands-free device and failure to exhibit a valid insurance card. * Alfredo Rodriquez Vega, 31, of Budd Lake, was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, drug possession in a motor vehicle, being under the influence of drugs and drug possession for having 25 Hydrocodone pills without a valid prescription, after police got a 911 call from a motorist about a vehicle with front-end damage traveling very slowly on Route 46. Police found the vehicle, stopped it and conducted field sobriety tests and then tests at headquarters by a drug recognition expert. An investigation into the car's damage revealed that Vega had struck the guardrail when entering Route 46 from Route 80. Vega was released pending a court hearing. * Lenny Syfor, 22, of Newton, was charged this week with criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with an incident that occurred on Aug. 10 when he allegedly forcibly placed a child's hand on an area of his pants. Syfor was sent to the Sussex County jail in default of $15,000 bail.
