Loose llama shot, killed in Mower County
After a week of roaming northern Mower County fields and roads, a nearly 200-pound llama was shot and killed by authorities Monday after attempts to capture it failed.
Erik Akkerman, 24, collided with Todd Klatt, 45, of Brownsdale on State Highway 56 near Hosmer Street in Brownsdale while Klatt was turning left.
