Exactly, and they wonder why the public has the perception of the NYPD that it does.

Can anyone say CONSPIRACY to conceal what the blood alcohol level was at the time of the accident?
Why was it done 7 HOURS LATER?
No civilian involved in an auto accident would have been given the same degree of latitude as Kelley was given.
This is going to be very interesting as to how this plays out and what excuse will be made for him.

In Suffolk County it typically takes between 3-5 hours (closer to 5 hours, sometimes longer depending on the time of night/morning) from the time of arrest until it takes draw blood after getting a judge to sign a blood draw warrant.

As a cop, do I think this guy was probably drunk at the time of the accident? Yes.
Will he most likely beat the rap? Yes.
Lose his job? I doubt it.
Learn his lesson? He better.
Grow up? I highly doubt it.

Now everyone knows how to buy a little time to let the alcohol wear off.

With a death they are more on top of this and very ready.... Being a Cop and to abide by the laws means he takes the test as soon as possible... Remember he's a Cop, not a citizen who has an excuse to not know all the rules... There is no Jury with coomn sense that can't figure this out... His delaying is proof in itself...

Well, hopefully the videos of him in the bar and the people who witnessed him drink is enough evidence to beat that blood-alcohol test. Either way there is No WAY he'll be able to beat that charge of manslaughter.

Just say he's deathly lucky...I think he cuts a deal because there will most likely be blacks on the Jury... Sorry about the Idiot comment.. I know of an simular incident and I get a little edgy ...

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Libra

It's Christmas Eve and you're running around like a scalded cat. However, it will do you no end of good if you can find a few moments here and there for some quiet contemplation. You might want to visit a place that's sacred to you, or take a walk in some beautiful surroundings so you can commune with nature. You need to feel that you're connecting with something bigger than yourself.
