The Brooklyn Market on Moore Street and Humboldt Street is an institution to all peoples in that area, and should be registered as a historical Landmark. I grew up on Park Ave and Broadway, Brooklyn. Moreover, I remember shopping there with parents as weekdays that place seen the transformation of the countless generation the ethnics groups of people whom shaped the character of that area. Italian, Jewish, Hispanic, Black, it epitomizes our melting pot society. I live in El Paso Texas, but deep down inside of me I still love the old neighbor hood, and that place “La Marqueta” is one of them.
