So here is a man who has lived in his home for most of his life, raised his family and was able to live independently. I see the cries for more police and government intervention, but what will that do. Let's look at where this crime came from. Who are these kids, where did they come from, what is there history and home life. What made them think they had to rob and assault someone. My guess would inflame many people and I would be painting with a broad brush, but I suppose these kids had nothing and therefore, nothing to lose. No sense of values, compassion, work ethic, but rather a thug mentality that has been cultivated by our society of self esteem, self absorbtion, and selfishness. Where were the parents; mom and dad? Did their homelife provide discipline and structure and support or excuses, abuse and irresponsibility?

The once beautiful neighborhoods surrounding Brookdale have fallen into the same blight as the mall itself. It is a sad situation and I pray for all those involved as well as our world that would create this kind of environment.

Why is that that when 2 white kids beat up 2 black people in Brooklyn Park that's front page news for days in the Star Tribune, but stories like this don't mention race and barely get any coverage at all?

Anyone able to find a link with MN crimes by race?

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Libra

It's another day when tensions are rife and you feel stretched to breaking point. You might even totally lose your temper with someone, instead of merely snapping at them as you did yesterday. Mars stomps into reverse today, so it would be better to clear the air now with a row, and then forget all about it, rather than allowing bad feelings to accumulate and fester inside you.
