Broadview Heights Planning Commission will hear University Hospitals' plan for outpatient clinic Wednesday night (live coverage)
On Wednesday night, the Planning Commission will review a plan by University Hospitals to build a $28 million outpatient health center and freestanding emergency department on state Route 82 at Interstate 77. The 51,000-square foot center would stand on 6 acres at the northeast corner of 82 and 77. UH hopes to open the center by the end of 2016.

University Hospitals ' plan to build an outpatient clinic and emergency room at the northeast corner of Ohio Route 82 and Interstate 77 was approved Monday by City Council's Growth, Planning and Zoning Committee.
Broadview Heights may ban chickens from non-agricultural districts
Meanwhile, the committee will ask Law Director Vince Ruffa to determine if - once a ban is in place - residents who already own chickens would have to get rid of them or if the ban would apply only to future cases.
