Broadalbin-Pertha s first 2009-10 adopted budget spent $28 million, increased year-over-year spending by 2.28 percent and cut 10 teacher positions and nine other staff jobs, but was rejected by voters May 19 by a vote of 768 to 684 in the second-highest voter turnout in the districta s short history.
