E. Bridgewater schools close in wake of fatal shooting

the mans name is chad s. hirtle and he is my brother and i cant explain why he did this but i do apolagize for the action. he has done. I miss andd love him and will never be right again without him he gave me more hope and laughter in the toughest times of my life. He was a man who lost his faith and violently left us behind.He is a good man a dedicated father and husband his wife and kids are hurt deeply as i am. he wasnt and couldnt hurt anyone he lost his path.Life is short and threw him mine was able to go places i never thought i would get to.

As a close friend of the family, Chad will be missed so much. God give us the strangth. I recall the great times we all had with him. He was a great man with a big heart. You were like

we love you.

My heart aches for Chad's children and wife. I knew him in school and could never imagine such an end for this down to earth, funny, easy going man. He should not be judged this aweful devastating event. He should be remembered for the kind, loving and doting dad that he was. My thoughts and prayers go out to Chad's family.

Chad is my cousin a wonderful person who has a
fantastic loving family and he will be missed
tremendously. His mom and dad are the best parents anyone could ask for. God bless Chad's wife and children. Chad will be remembered by all of us and in our hearts forever.

I babysat for your brother and if you are the 2nd child, for you too. I can not tell you how badly I feel for your Mom and Dad and your other brother.

I can not even fathem what could have caused this kind hearted, generous father of three children to be roaming the woods in the middle of the night with a gun. It is a tragedy that weighs heavily on the hearts of those who knew him. My deepest sympathy goes out to his children, his wife, his mother and father, his siblings and his friends and extended family. Chad was a good man and he will never be forgotten!

I cannot stop asking why this happened. What could have gone so wrong for Chad. Another vibrant young life is lost. I pray that Chad's children grow up knowing that their dad was a wonderful, kind man. I hope his family finds some peace in knowing that he was liked and loved by all of those who knew him and he will be deeply, deeply missed. God Bless his family!

I will haev you know that the police did not try to help my father in any way shape or form. They treated my Daddy like a criminal and they did not do what was right at all. They should be ashamed of themselves and it would mean a great deal to me and my family if you would removed that he had shot himself thank you.

Dear Aaundrea, I went to school with your dad when we were little. He was the nicest kid with a warm heart and smile, so I can only imagine what a wonderful dad he became. I am so so sorry for this awful pain you and your family are having.

Aundrea,be assured that anyone who knew your Dad knows the truth. He was a kind, gentle, giving man. He was a great husband and father who took great pride in his beautiful family. We were all lucky for having known him. We are all so terribly sorry for your loss, the world was a better place with him in it. Please know that you are not alone you and your family have the love and support of so many. We are so sorry for your pain.You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Chad was my son in law, He was a wonderful loving farther to his wife and children, and for the idiots who are making comments you should know him before you run your mouth about him. All I have is one question...... what law did he brake to deserve this? There were no laws broken.... so how could this come about? I will miss him love him FOREVER!

I wasn't making an idiot comment. I was friends with Chad as a child. I am haunted thinking of what his family must be going through. Im referring to his family members who are implying that he was killed. If that is truly the case, that police officer must be brought to justice. Its a travesty.

Hear hear I could not agree with you more - people need to say a prayer for this family. God does not like morbid curiosity. Chad was a great Dad, I would see him with his kids at fishing derby's, cubscouts and games etc.. let's all just pray for these children who have lost a wonderful Dad

Aundrea, I am truly touched by the wonderful memories you have of your dad. Don't let people's foolishness stain those memories. Remember, people in general are ignorant and ignorant people without the facts are gossips. I am very sorry for your family's loss.

I never knew Chad. I'm a dad a few years older than Chad with two children. Like Chad I'm an avid sportsman who loves to spend time on the water. I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope with time and God's grace you all find peace.

Chad will be missed by everyone, growing up we were like brother and sister not to leave out steve and Chris this is such a tragady, I keep having to tell myself this is true what has happened. Chad I love you always and forever Kellie
