Residents of Lawrenceville were without a reliable source of drinking water Wednesday after the town's main supply line broke somewhere under the surging floodwaters of the Wabash River.

A team of engineers and Lawrenceville municipal workers are heading out in boats today to try to locate where the city's main water line is broken beneath the floodwaters of the Wabash River.

Flooding is causing a different kind of water problem in Lawrence County, Illinois.

Some floodwaters may be receding around Lawrenceville in southeastern Illinois, but that area has a new problem on its hands.
