Pitifully sad, may they rest in peace and God bless those who tried to save them. Truly heartbreaking.

i believe if there was a back door entrance or sprinkler system in those aptments they would have been alive today because these are consider projects that dosen't mean people have to live that way it's unfair and injustice god bless them and the families to come who may be in the same pardicument!

What happened to the smoke detectors? In public housing, these life-savers are MANDATED by state law. What a tragety that four people had to loose their lifes because they were not working. May this serve as a warning to us all!

You people have no freakin' RESPECT. Three children lost their lives here... So what they lived in public housing. Last time I checked there was public housing in fairfield, milford etc. How about my tax dollars from the bailouts etc.? If this happened in trumbull, the lang what be a whole lot different. You people should be ashamed of your selves.

They had working smoke detectors and one report states it went off for 20 minutes before anyone called the fire dept.

The buildings are up to code. Are you sure about the sprinklers? I haven't heard anything about them.
