Bridgeport Shooting Victim Speaks Out

I know kris kerr and im friends with his wife keyanna hes not a bad guy and i heard from some old guy that them boys tried 2 jump him so its self dafence

why did he run then ???

Well duh... he shot someone! I heard they were playing poker and they were talking sh!t to him and followed him to his car, then he shot them.

Thats all wrong- everything all of you just said

they got in an argument and chris tried to fight one of the victims so they went outside to take care of it and chris shot him so his friends went to check one him cause they heard the gun go off and when they went out he shot them to. its not self defense he should have fought the boy fair and square and everything would be ok now .. its attempted murder..

There are two sides to every story, you've heard your friends side, what's he gonna say? Yeah, we were all gonna jump him! NO, I think not!

Wait one sec,ya you say what your "friend is saying"but no,one has heard Chris'es side of what happen,and yes he ran off,but he also came back and turned himself in right. NoOne knows what they would do in this situaition unless it happen to them, so don't judge or point fingers.Chris is not a bad person he has a good heart.

it's Chris' not Chris'es!!!!! sorry, just had to tell ya that

it was not self defense. first off its illegal to have a gun while drinking alcohol and you are not supposed to have guns in bars even with a legal gun permit.

I saw on the news Dale Rogers talking about it. He is the biggest crack head bridgeport has ever seen. it seems like a lot of these people were nothing but trouble. theres no doubt they probably did provoke this guy but that gives him no right to shoot them. but you know what they say about karma. maybe these guys kept picking on him and he stood up for himself. dont make it right but maybe they all learned a lesson from this

What were they doing playing poker at Stinkers in the first place? Don't them know poker and gambling is illegal in Alabama?##2 What was he doing inside a bar aith a gun? That is a felony.#3 when you take the law into your own hands, and start shooting people, that is also a felony. He should be put in jail for a long time for this. He might be a good ol boy, but he is also a big ol' idot. He will become somebody's boyfriend

He was not in the bar with a gun. He had the gun in his car. they followed him to the car. As for the gambling, go to stinkers on any given Thursday night & you can play too!

Well, Derrick would never try to jump anyone! He isn't like that and obviously you don't know him, so don't say they deserved that!

Derick Hughes is a piece of crap. I don't think anyone deserves to be shot but it's just karma coming back around for him. And honestly most of these guys are the type of guys to think they are cooler because they got shot. I guarantee you this time next year they'll be going around bragging that they got shot and it didn't kill them listening to their rap music thinking they are 50 cent because they got shot and survived it.
A real man would never brag about that. He wouldn't even tell anyone or mention it. But if you know Derick then you know he's going to brag. He'll try to get laid from it.

on this particular night they were not gambling that is for a fact because they do not have poker on saturday nights, and just to let you know Chris may or may not be a good person i don't know him personally but from what i had seen the saturday before he seemed to me to be really possessive, he was stalking women and got upset because they would not give him time of day. So no matter what his side is no one deserved to get shot but hopefully everyone has learned their lesson from this. We are praying that this does not happen again.

Well the Derick I know is sweet, kind, always has a nice things to say. First of all he does not listen to rap, and i have never heard him brag about anything. Never has been one to start trouble, in fact I have seen him talk people out of fighting. Every time you see him out he has his children, which you can tell he love very much. He is a great dad. Wish my kids dads took that much interest in our kids. And I have never seen him out trying to pick up women. He has always been a family man.(Hope the one he is with knows how lucky she is). Tell me did you want him to lay you and he turned you down. I saw him the day after it happened and, he said I dont know why it happened, but all I can think about is Kerrs children, how bad it is going to be on them...he ask me to please keep Kerrs family in my prayers. That is kind of man he is....

The shooting wasn't on a Saturday...It was @ 2 a.m. on Friday morning so tjhe night of it would have been on Thursday.

you try keeping your days straight when you have so much on your mind but for the record that was my mistake i got my days mixed up and furthermore i know for a fact that there is no poker on fridays or thursdays either. Thank you for your correction......
