Obama has slight lead over McCain in statewide poll

Gee, the press must have been just salivating waiting for Obama to take a slight lead in some pole so it could be a headline. I'll bet if he loses that "slight lead" there will be no headlines.

No Obama: Still trying to convince people that he is going to raise taxes on the middle class? Not true. He will tax the vast majority of Americans less than McCain would.

Triple K: I love the fact that when McCain pulled ahead for a few days it was a sign that the Obama campaign was finished and all Democrats were "running scared". Now Obama is back in the lead and it's just a "stupid poll".

I expect that the trend across the US will be in Obama's favor generally from here on out. McCain may have some surges but he won't have any staying power. Not unless the issue swings away from the economy.

I have to give him credit though, he has made this a much closer race, in PA and nationally, than I would have expected.

It is all over but the crying for McCain. He wanted to go to congress to do what? He was not on any financial committee he has no say on the outcome of this crisis. He is afraid very afraid of this debate tonight. Neither of them belonged their yesterday that meeting with McCain, Bush and Obama was pointless. It was a political stunt that was supposed to look like McCain went to Washington and saved the day but in realty nobody in Congress or the Senate wanted him there. They both were a distraction and held things up more than moved them forward. I can only imagine what the excuse will be when it is time for Palin to step up to the podium. Biden might actually make her cry on television around the world.

You will see that your liberal press has been skewing the polls in favor of the "empty suit". As people get closer to the election they may grow brain cells and realize what "the empty suit" is. Biden will make her cry? How, by lecturing her on FDR's televised address during the Great Depression, when FDR was not even President and TV was 20 years from being invented? By asking a man in a wheelchair to stand up? By plagiarising someone else's speech? By contradicting his running mate in public?

No, he will make her laugh, much like he has entertained the rest of us for years. Joe Biden, like Obama, is an empty suit lawyer who enjoys nothing more than the sound of his own voice, even when it spouts nonsense.

The reason Obama did not want to come back to Washington unless asked is because he has NO CLUE what to do. He will punt on this like he has the 130 other times he has voted PRESENT. Obama wants this debate so badly, when there are more significant issues to deal with, because he is all about process and show. No substance.

I hope people saw last night's Katie Couric interview with Palin for what a was -- bad journalism and a shameful act on Couric's part. I will NEVER watch or trust CBS News again. How dare she get up there and play gotcha with Palin and try that hard to swat her down and make her look bad? Couric has some nerve to sit there all dolled up asking crap questions that dozens of producers and writers researched and wrote for her, READING FROM A TIGHT SCRIPT, and call that news? How does she sleep at night being a person like that? Palin deserved better. NO ONE could answer those questions perfectly, and Couric clearly was out to trip her up and make her look bad. This stupid Russia from her house thing was a JOKE she made, and all of these a** hole commentators and journalist and talk show hosts who have never worked as hard as her or served anyone but themselves get to mock and bully Palin for it? F U it's disgusting that this passes for our democratic process. It is fun to watch the Hollywood types sputter and spit because they can't articulate a decent argument or idea they just want Obama to win becuase they say so and he looks right on the surface and they feel open minded for saying so.
