Peek at bugs -- and doodads that are even smaller
The Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown will debut a bug exhibit Saturday. It will feature one of the largest millipedes in the world and a giant tailless whipscorpion like the one featured in ''Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.''
In the ''Bug-in Out'' exhibit, families can see colorful and exotic insects and arachnids, including the 8-inch-long giant millipede from Africa, a pink tarantula from South America and an emperor scorpion.
Da Vinci will also open a nanotechnology exhibit Saturday to demonstrate how everything is made of tiny components. Kids can see objects magnified up to 200 times, build with simulated nanoparticles and find how big they are in nanometers.
