Does it really matter that it wasn't a student of the district?

how nice for our tax dollars to pay for not going to work.
this profession has it made , if it was on the private sector this guy would not be getting paid at all.Funny how employees that work for jobs that are paid by tax payers get these perks.Let us have another bond so we can have a pool for tax payers employees go to Hawaii.

You have to remember they can't just let him go because of allegations. He is innocent until he is proven guilty. Many times the person is innocent and sexual assault is a weapon. I saw this happen to a baseball coach in a divorce proceeding. Had he been fired, the district would have set themselves up for a lawsuit. The ex had lied in hopes of him losing his job and reputation. The district has no choice to keep him away but must pay him. If he is guilty then he will find his life lost.

If the accusations made are coming from a minor or co-worker then he should not be allowed at the school. If the accusations are being made by a person of age he should be allowed to return to his job duties until he has his trial. What if this was a jilted lover, ex-wife or sexual partner who got mad because they did not get what they wanted?
I say check the accuser for any of these issues and make a quick determination of wether or not this man should be allowed to preform his job duties.

Why is this even in the newspaper. This is a personnel issue with the district. It should not be made public unless it involves a student or another faculty member or it happened on school grounds. I thought this was the El Paso Times not the National Enquirer. Innocent until proven guilty.

Teachers are held up to a higher standard as role models. Whether or not these accusations are proven to be true, this poor man's professional career has been tarnished. It is very difficult to polish off that tarnish even if he is totally exonerated. Anyone can make accusations against another person out of spite, please don't rush to judgment. Remember..."innocent until proven guilty" and his job is protected until then.

And if he is exonerated will THAT make headlines? Doubtful. Our society is so hungry for gossip & big stories that stuff like this makes headlines but this man's reputation is forever tarnished before he is even put on trial.

typical of episd - this guy gets paid administrative leave -- and what of the 'higher-ups' and their philandering ways? how come we don't get a snippet of news of those gentle fellows?

and yet another question: what of teachers wrongly accused by a spiteful administrator? "who knows" is totally accurate: although they are exonerated, THAT will not ever make the headlines.

way to go episd.

Well, I say innocent until proven guily. Us women can get pretty scandalous, and apparently they were dating. I personally think he 's a man with a high profile and why would he risk it all for a brod? She may have gotten upset because he up and left her saying"Okay, bye". That leaves a woman feeling pretty low about herself and maybe this was a way to get back??

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Sagittarius

Moodiness is never far away today, making you over-react to problems and giving you a tendency to take out your feelings on your nearest and dearest. If someone asks you what's really wrong, you'll struggle to explain and may even have to give up because you can't put it into words. It's like an itch that you can't scratch, and you don't know where it stems from or what it means.
