I'm not some wacko, over-the-top animal person (not that there's anything wrong with that), but I can imagine that if a neighbor is willing to go to such lengths to kill this pig, then my cat or dog wouldn't have been safe either. Hopefully they're able to make a case and keep future neighbors of this guy from having their pets killed.

Let's all just get along...

All I know is there are nothing but creeps who live in that neck of the woods.

Why was this poor pig not living close to it' owner? Was this pig left on the 75 are property alone? You never leave an animal alone, ever....
If this pig was not living with anyone, How do we know for certain the pig was in fact being cared for properly? I know the paper says the owner went to see him daily, how do we know that? Poor pig!

As for the person who took the pig and killed him...I sure hope that person is prosecuted to the fullest extent f the law. What a horrible creep... lock the s.o.b. up for life. People like that deserve nothing. If that horrible person has the nerve to go on someone else's property and take another persons animal to kill it, who knows what that person could or would do to other animals and people.

Seems, all the Meth heads and criminals live off Bear Creek road in the woods. That poor pig had no chance at all.

I completely agree. That was incredibly hard to read - a good story, tons of appeal and every reason for readers to care (no one wants their animal killed) but the writing is a total hack job. Yikes.

biggest problem I have with this story is referring to a female pig as a "boar". Pigs are pigs, wild or not, and a female pig is a "sow". "Boars" are males.

The neighbor sounds like a typical Boulder Crick redneck hick.

Isn't a Boar a male pig? Isn't Canabou a Boar? Or part boar? A Boulder Crecian halfbreed? Canabou is no saint, not at all.

Poor piggy pig pig though, she didn't deserve it.
