Borger man killed in weekend accident
Billy Duane Vinyard, 39, was riding northbound on Farm-to-Market Road 280 about 3:36 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of his 2013 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic and the motorcycle left the roadway about 5 miles east Borger, the Department of Public Safety said Monday.

Closing Time Extended in Borger
Bars in Borger can now stay open later. The Borger city council last month unanimously approved an ordinance allowing bars to stay open until 2 a.m. Several are already planning to make the switch.

Fatal wreck closes highway between Amarillo, Fritch
One person was killed in a head-on collision about 3:30 p.m. Monday on State Highway 136 just north of Farm-to-Market Road 1342 between Amarillo and Fritch, state trooper Les Jones said.
