Overturned dump truck causing delays on Atlanta Highway in Bogart
An overturned dump truck is causing traffic delays on Atlanta Highway in Bogart, according to the Oconee County Sheriff's Office. The wreck was reported about 4:40 p.m. First responders and deputies were dispatched to the wreck and the Georgia State Patrol was en route to investigate, a sheriff's spokesman said shortly after the accident.
Bogart Library expansion depends on state appropriation, local tax vote
A major expansion of the Bogart Library received a boost early this week, when the University System of Georgia Board of Regents, which oversees the state's public libraries, placed it on an list of approved projects. The planned expansion, however, still depends on approval from the state legislature and a referendum on a special local sales tax in Oconee County, library officials said.

Bogart man faces charges of illegal dumping, fleeing from deputies
A man who fled from Oconee deputies last week after allegedly dumping trash illegally in Bogart is still wanted, Oconee County Sheriff Scott Berry said Monday.
