The trooper should not have been going at such a high rate of speed where this accident happened.I live in Manila and I am mad and saddened by this,my thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

It is heartbreaking that a family loses a love one in such a tragic preventable accident. I also pray for the family and friends. From your statement, I know you are an eye-witness, and I'm curious as to what you estimate the trooper's speed to have been? Thanks.

Did they say how fast he was going? KAIT said they didn't know if he was responding to a call or how fast he was going.

He was more than likely going way too fast.. I think the speed limit slows down to 30 right there? Im not for sure though. It can be hard to tell how fast someone is going on that road when you are pulling out of Freds or Sonic. She probably thought that he was going at least speed limit and had time..

Prayers go out to the family and friends.

You don't know that so you shouldn't even speculate.

Being on that road pretty often doesn't mean that you were there when the accident occurred. Were you there to witness this accident? Do you know how fast the State Trooper was traveling? You can't call it fact unless you were in the car with the trooper and know what the speedometer read at the time of the accident or if you have the equipment to "clock" the speed of the car. Even those investigating the accident can only speculate about what happened by going on the information collected from the accident site. Instead of making speculations you should be praying for both families. This was a terrible, tragic accident.

Oh I am praying for both families. I knew her personally. Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to assume that I am not doing so.

I believe the fact this lady pulled out directly in front of this trooper from a side street onto a state highway is being over looked by most of the people making comments. It is a tragic event for all involved but I don't see that the trooper should be blamed.

You are correct. No one knows for sure. As someone said earlier, unless you were in the car and saw the speed or were clocking the officer, how can you know? How can you even be sure he was speeding? This officer is a good man and he will live the rest of his life remembering this accident and the loss of a life because of an accident he was involved in. He will wonder what if from this day forward. Fighting on here will get no one anywhere quick. If you aren't praying for her family you should. If you aren't praying for the officer you should. Neither of the two deserved this accident to happen. Stop fighting.

Computer in car should show speed, gps would for sure, please get freedom of information on records. I'm interested how a car can leave front-bumper in other car at 45mph. Look at pic in paper, whole front is left in car. Was he running code or just running? Had he just left his 42 and in hurry?

Let the people do there job that investigate that kind of stuff. I cannot stand people who play the blame game. People always wanna blame the cop when there is an accident. Like is been "covered up" if it was a regular car hitting a car this talk wouldn't be happening. If the cop did something wrong it will come out. Till then it would be wise for everyone to hold there comments to themselves without FACTS. Because that officer has enough on him now without all these drama high school acting "grown ups" talking!

No way was he going the speed limit. If he was on a call he should have had his lights flashing and sounded his siren when approaching a place where people might be leaving and she probably would not have pulled out. From the looks of her car he was driving way to fast.
