Is it a slow news day or are politicians starting to worry about getting re-elected?
Is Blytheville getting its money's worth in either case? Probably not!

I think the appropriate question would be "is FEMA getting its' money worth?"

FEMA doesn't get any of the money but some worthless "monitoring" outfit got 1/4 of the total cost for riding around and doing NOTHING toward the clean-up. Typical govt. rip-off.

Another "SCAM" dreamed up by R Mosely and the Mayor to fill their greedy pockets. "Yeah, we will just add it to the local water bills for three months." Haha, slap on the back. More like slap in the face.

Typical govt. approach to doing anything. More taxpayer money wasted then used for getting the mess cleaned up.
Bottom line: Blytheville pays because FEMA let itself get screwed on Katrina.

Correction: The people of Bville pay the 12.5% not the city of Bville, and we're always the ones who get screwed.

I would just like my $3 a month back for the mosquito control. I can just as easily buy a can of OFF - it works better in my opinion.

Daily Horoscope for December 18

Cancer

You'll be happiest when you're with people who make you feel loved and cherished. You'll bend over backwards to keep them sweet, and will concede arguments and disputes for the sake of peace. Try not to make it peace at any price because that could be setting up problems with people who will then try to take advantage of your good nature. Co-operation is one thing, being a doormat is quite different.
