I guess if I was S.B.S.O. I would be upset too; Having reporters calling me about an incident in a town that I didn't know I had jurisdiction over. To be honest Bluewater is like 5 trailers and a "store" but still it is part of the County. Also shouldn't they be mad at the German reporters to lazy to look up the SBSOs non-emergency number and instead calling 911.

To be fair the Filmmakers should pay any extra costs the department incurred for their promotional stunt.

And people still wonder how wars start. All it takes is some dope pulling a stunt guaranteed to get the wrong people excited. WWII started when the Nazis claimed that Poland was invading Germany. Next stop: Armageddon...

It's sad that even veteran county officials had no idea that Bluewater exists. I guess the 200 or so people who live there never have emergencies... or they handle them by themselves.

Why didn't they just call the restarant? Probably could have saved a few bucks rather than launching a full scale investigation

Police - "Hi, Police Dept, you got any terrorists there?"

Restaraunt - "No"

Police - "Ok, have a good day"

Well, it probably wouldn't have been just like that, but you get the idea.

stunningly ridiculous. people really can be unpleasant. repeatedly. oh this is a good idea... let's call in a fake hostage situation to a city on the other side of the planet to promote a low budget movie that is probably pointless. if an emergency responder had been randomly killed on the road respoding to this hoax? i hope i hope their vhs idioacy would have been worth it.

HAHA! Honestly, this is one of the best pranks I've ever heard of! Even better that none of the government officials have ever heard of this place that is within their jurisdiction!

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Pisces

Are you feeling fraught? It certainly seems that way, perhaps because you've got far too much on your plate and not nearly enough time to tackle it all. Do yourself a big favor and start with whatever is most urgent, otherwise you'll waste time by dithering or getting caught up in trivial tasks. Above all, don't get into a panic because that will squander valuable time and energy.
