I'm going to tell you people of Bluefield just as I have the people in Summersville, Tazewell, Richlands, Pocahontas and other places in WVA, VA and NC, if you do not like what is going on in your community, use the weapon that has been handed to us called the VOTE. I hear all this negativity about voting these people out of office because they have been in office for decades. Put them people out through the VOTE. Before Bluefield can get cleaned up the government of Bluefield needs to be cleaned up and it cannot be done overnight. Bluefield did not become what she is overnight but over a period of years and you voters of Bluefield are to blame. Like a tiger does what a tiger does, a professional politician does what a professional politician does. Blame yourselves for keeping these people in office. One might say it's not my fault, I am not registered to vote. You are also the blame. You should be registered and vote. It is our right. More later. Have a good day.

I may not know about politics in southern WVA but I do know the people or I should say a lot of people in WVA. My ancestors settled WVA in 1798 when it was still Virginia. I lived in WVA for a few years, Webster County and Logan County. Politics is what has ruined WVA and West Virginians need to take control of their state throught the American institution called the VOTE. They need to vote out the professional politicians and vote in some people who are concerned about their communities and state. And this goes for Bluefield. I may not know about the politics of the area but I know the people can take control and I know and realise there are a lot of you naysayers out there but you are one of the reasons the area is in the shape it is in. People of WVA, rise up and take your area back through the Vote. Have a good day.

You can't vote for them if they don't run. That is exactly my point or at least one of my points. What would it take for the people of Bluefield to get sick enough of their present members of government to make a run against them? Just lay down and let these professional politicians walk all over you. What would it take? Is the political machine so enormous and powerful that people are afraid to come against it? somethings wrong with that picture and the picture needs to be righted. It takes a grassroots initiative to do this but it can and must be done. You can retort it takes money to run a political campaign. My response is find the money 10 people giving a hundred, 20 giving fifty, 40 giving 25 dollars each add up to a thousand dollars. If you want change bad enough, you'll figure ways to get the money. Do it or forever hold your peace.

ok ok we beat you guys last year when u had omg THE all WONDERFUL WILL COLE wooo you lost...ok the only reason you guys are good is because 1. your QB is from princeton he only went to bluefield because he wouldn't start here what a baby...2 you guys play AA mostly thats easy as crap but you guys always lose when you play a AAA or AAAA team you guys cant keep up with the big teams. so stop bull shitting next year you guys without jake and all are gonna suck. And get this we get TAJH SHO-JOHNSON next year so can you guys compete???? DON'T THINK SO!
The reasons why Bluefield is so good is because of coaches, discipline and quality players. The reason kids come from Princeton to play at Bluefield is for exposure to college scouts. I mean, lets use our heads here. If your a college scout ,who would you rather go scout a game for: a team that is 3-4 or a team that is 5-2 and had scored 104 points in the last 2 games while allowing only 8? Dont get me wrong, Princeton has a ton of talent. I was at the Bluefield-Princeton game and saw them for myself. If Princeton had any kind of coaching structure what-so-ever, the outcome would have been different but no good coaches=no good seasons. As for Tajh, I have not seen him play but I hear he is unreal fast and a great all around football player. I also know that I have seen him with Jeff James (Bluefield player)constantly and rumor is that he will be at Bluefield where scouts will see him. Finally, as for the whole AA, AAA and AAAA thing, maybe you might want to check out this web site:
http://www.maxpreps.com/list/rankings.aspx...

Bluefield is ranked 10th in the state and this is not just AA rankings, this includes ALL schools. Your pride in your school is to be commended. Everyone should have pride and loyalty to thier school and at the end of this season, my Bluefield Beavers will be celebrating thier 10th state championship while, I'm afraid, your Princeton Tigers will still be looking for thier first.

wowlol wrote,I'm all for voting them out but the only way to make it work is get rid of all of them and start over. Exactly and that is what I am advocating, vote them out and start over afresh. I know all sorts of excuses will pop up in people's minds, so let me give you a few and we'll deal with the rest of the excuses later. Who would we get to run in their places? I am sure there are some people in Bluefield smart enough and educated enough to win an election and operate as an elected official. It takes money to run for office. There are sources of money waiting to be used for such an operation. Use your brain, your ingenuity. I know nothing about running a city or operating in government. Neither did George Washington know anything about governing the United States. Starting over. What have you got to lose? According to you, there isn't much there to lose. One and probably others is talking about moving away but hasn't sold the property and trying for 2 years. What have you got to lose? Go for it Bluefield. It's now or never. Do something or forever hold your peace.

It won't work. OK. I'll leave you Bluefielders alone and you do one of two things. Stay or leave. No excuses. Everyone of you have kin in other places who will help you get out. Move to Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland, anywhere you have kin who will help you abandon ship. Don't say it can't be done. I know a couple who had four children and were stuck in Florida. They had to borrow money from the wife's mother but they got out. I will leave you to leave or wallow and will focus my attention on Tazewell County because they are more willing to do something about their situation than you Bluefielders. Have a good day and a bright future. One question before I leave, are everyone of you in Bluefield as pessimistic as abc and wowlol? If so, God help you. Oh by the by, a grandson of mine left Bradshaw, McDowell County, WVA and is working in the mines and living in Tazewell County VA. Ain't that great. Have a good day.

Whatever you have to say today, you'll do it with charm and grace. This is just what you need if you've got to have a quiet word in someone's ear without offending them forever or putting your foot in it.
