Rockaway eyes tigers

maybe some jobs and income will come into rockaway! heaven knows the town needs it

I'd rather see tigers living in a healthy habitat environment like this proposed sanctuary than in tiny, smelly cages backstage of a local theatre.

Please do not judge without actually seeing what this legitimate sanctuary is all about. They have been working with legislation for the last 5 years to change the laws about these animals. They are the ones working to shut down places that keep their animals in deplorable conditions. Happy healthy animals do not live in tiny, smelly cages, like most of you, unfortunately have grown accustomed to, nor are they there to perform for your pleasure. If you really want to state your opinion, then pay attention to your legislature and be there to support The Big Cat Bill when it comes up in Congress again.

It was announced the backstage cats return to their performance duties November 1st. At least they'll get to leave their cages for a few minutes a day to perform their tricks.
