Blairsville-Saltsburg to lose third superintendent

Once again, the fab 5 makes another decison because "they can". Does it matter to them about the education that our children are receiving or is this still more of a vendetta being played out between Blairsville vs Saltsburg? When will they realize that everything they do, should be about the children? My only hope is that now, the other 2 superintendents will come forward and state what went on when they were involved with this schoolboard.

I hope that everyone gets out and votes in the November election. That includes the Saltsburg people. No one can be happy with the way this board is operating. There is no regard for even trying to play by the rules and these are the people that are supposed to be in charge of how the money that we as taxpayers, pay to the district. I am positive that there are people in Saltburg who will stand up to these 5 people and say what you are doing is wrong and we will not allow you to continue to do things without any regard to the law. These are accusations that have been made in the past regarding this school board and no one has been brave enough or cared enough about the school to come forward. I applaud Mr. Whisdosh for his integrity and for doing something about this. It would be very easy for him just to walk away and say it doesn't concern him anymore and he is not going to do that.

so this article says that the saltsburg majority has already picked someone for the kindergarten position (which i think is at blairsville), but the solicitor says they are having interviews with 4 people? what is that about? so why conduct any interviews if the position is already filled? it doesn't seem like the saltsburg board members have to really consult with anyone, they can just make all the decisions. is this how everyone else reads this article?

so, if you are a member of the school board- you do not have any limitations on what you can do. whatever the majority wants to do, they can do. i think that would be a great job, the next thing you know- they will find a way to get paid to do this great job

So who cares? The school board members are still going to do whatever they want to do. No one can control them.

The Board members from Saltsburg (Bev-Linda-Mike-Brett-Linda) should join the Superintendent and resign !!!!!!!!! Lets get a group of Educated members elected (or appointed)to Represent Loyalhanna Township-Conemaugh Township and the little town of Saltsburg- Lets get quality education on a roll by closing down the whole school system in SALTSBURG-Loyalhanna Township to Derry Area- Conemaugh Township to Blairsville- and Saltsburg to Kiski Area-now that is a GOOD IDEA

The PDE really needs to step in and interview the past superintendents and get the truth. They need to dispan the district. If the PDE lets Elderton leave the the Armstrong district, Blairsville should file papers to leave this awful mess.

Here we go again....these school board members are unedumakated dummies!

What does it take for the Department of Education or the School Board Association or even the governor to step in and say "enough is enough ?

What do those teachers who were hired think about this mess? Is this really a school district they want to be involved with? What about the teacher's union? Is the union going to get involved because I would think the hiring practices of the school board is going to be investigated, especially since Whishdosh is taking this to higher officials. What do the union members think?

when are we going to find out who they hired? when is the next school board meeting?

I got a better idea than all of you losers. go F*** YOURSELFS. The board has worked there tails off to get to where they are! They saved a town. The education hasn't changed with the new board, it has always been this way.

I agree, The condition we are in today is because of damage done by the prior Blairsville DOMINATED Board. They should be thankful someone else was willing to take over the MESS they made for the last 30+ years..... NO that is the current board was FED UP with taking what was left over for the Saltsburg School!!! Those against the current board ALL are from Bville,Any SURPRISE? You lost Control... Taxes Taxes Taxes--It is past time to worry about the EDUCATION - Students- and guit the thinking that your board SAVED your ONE HORSE TOWN-Move to Derry Area -- Good Quality Education - Sports and a lot of other student activities- OH and your main Subject in LIFE- one half the amount of school taxes- we will leave a light on for you and your tribe !!!!

Derry??? The only education the kids will get there is how to shoot herion! I would rather pay taxes than expose children to farming and drugs, and that is about all Derry has to offer!
