There's a new word that Benton County drivers are learning, and so far, it does not seem very popular: J-Turn is the Iowa Department of Transportation term for its plans for a new re-design of the Highway 30/218 intersection south of Vinton.
Fiberight's waste-to-energy plan moving ahead
Fiberight LLC now anticipates it will begin construction of a $20-million garbage sorting, shredding and recycling facility here in the spring with the intent to turn municipal solid waste into energy.
